While studying in Italy, Paul B. Lotz was inspired by the Renaissance masters’ ability to capture the human form with stunning detail and emotional depth. This led him to start ceramic sculpting, aiming to express hidden feelings and portray people in their most private states.

As his work evolved, Paul discovered that working in bronze allowed for more refined details and greater emotional expression. His sculptures began to take on new life, giving him the freedom to explore twisted realities and whimsical ideas that he hadn’t captured before.

Paul’s work aims to do more than just captivate visually. He hopes his pieces tell a story that draws viewers into a whimsical, sometimes sarcastic world—one that offers a brief escape from the monotony of daily life.
