About Coco

Coco, Artist

WATERCOLOR | OIL

“Art is life. Some people see the beauty that surrounds them. I feel it. The vibrancy of color and the light and shadow within compel me to express my deepest gratitude through my feelings.”

—Coco, Artist

EXOTIC.

Coco creates brilliant portraits of nature with vibrant fluid colors, and expressive brush strokes. Her work has an exotic subject matter with a pleasing innocence, with backgrounds that are elusive and abstract.

The desire to express herself with colors started as a young girl. Originally from California, Coco received her first lessons in oil painting from her mother, an accomplished artist who was able to see Coco’s gift. Friends and family recognized her talent at an early age, but it wasn’t until moving to Hawaii that Coco realized her potential as a professional artist.

Coco’s watercolors have an inner glow, a harmonious balance of her soul and mind. She has been creating serene, timeless, and universally appreciated work with the inspiration from the beauty of Hawaii, and its nature for the last 20 years. A recent collaboration with artist Roy Tabora transitioned Coco back to her roots and a newfound passion for oil paining was rekindled. Her newest collection of oils, inspired by the islands have continued to please collectors and new admirers. Coco’s work can be found in myriad of public and private art collections both in the United States and abroad, and has been seen in numerous exhibitions nationwide.
